April’s Book List Favorites.

This month I read/reread 2 books from my favorite author, J. California Cooper. The first one was The Wake of the Wind, a triumphant love story between Mor & Lifee who unbeknownst to them were already connected generations before.

The 2nd is a series of short stories, Some Soul to Keep. Stories of families, friends and fate. Some stories are a series of unfortunate events, some humbling and some triumphant.

Barracoon by Zora Neale Hurston is the story of a “ poetical old gentleman” named Kossola who suffered from a “sequence of separations.”

An amazing storyteller, this book is treasure.
