Gathering of Water, set in Money, Mississippi is a dive into spirits, good and bad and how they affect the lives of the inhabited and those that love them.
Early on we meet “Esther the Whore” and all the way until the end, Esther never ceases to surprise you.
Along the way, we revisit the tragedy of Emmett Till and decades later and we travel along to different states, but eventually this story ends in Money, Mississippi
This was a magical, mystical maze and I was completely in love with this book. My mouth dropped open on the very last page. Amazing read.
